DESCRIPTION:The USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute (MCI) invites the community to its 15th Think Pink Tea this October\, the signature community event honoring breast cancer patients\, survivors\, caregivers\, and their loved ones. The celebration takes place Sunday\, Oct. 19\, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Arthur R. Outlaw Convention Center\, 1 S. Water St.\, Mobile. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.\nIn the United States\, one woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes\, and early detection is key. The Think Pink Tea event is an effort to educate the community on the importance of screenings\, and to support those who have been diagnosed with the disease. Event highlights include: Educational panel: Top scientists\, physicians\, and industry professionals will address today's most pressing questions about breast cancer.Runway fashion show: 22 inspiring MCI breast cancer survivors will model fashions in a celebration of courage and hope.Munch and mingle: Guests can meet MCI researchers\, connect with health resource providers\, and explore ways to get involved in the community.\nMCI extends special thanks to Remington College\, Belk Clothing\, Ballin's LTD\, and the Breast Friends Forever cancer support group for their generous support in making this event possible.
