Celebrating a Century of Black History

Join us for a free Black History Month Celebration highlighting art, storytelling, film, and community at the Mobile Museum of Art. Enjoy spoken word by Mobile’s Poet Laureate Alex Lofton, cultural performances by the Mobile Alabama Africatown Drummers, film screenings of The League with facilitated discussions, plus community vendors and food trucks. Guests can explore museum exhibits, participate in hands-on art activities, and experience interactive storytelling throughout the day. Families are welcome, with a dedicated children’s craft station and reading corner. This event honors Black history through creativity, dialogue, and shared experience.
