The Mobile Airport Authority owns and operates Mobile Regional Airport (MOB), Mobile International Airport (BFM), Brookley Aeroplex, and St. Elmo Airport. These airports generate $2 billion in economic value for Alabama. MOB is served by Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and United Airlines, offering direct flights to major hubs like Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, and Houston. It is also home to Airbus Space and Defense. BFM, located near the Port of Mobile, integrates maritime, rail, trucking, and aviation operations. It houses Airbus Final Assembly Line, Airbus Engineering, ST Aerospace, and Continental Motors. Additionally, Avelo Airlines operates flights from BFM to Orlando, providing convenient access to that destination. Brookley Aeroplex supports BFM's operations and accommodates over 90 businesses, including supply chain providers and transportation industry support. St. Elmo Airport, situated approximately 18 miles from the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, primarily serves corporate and private aircraft.
