The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice has partnered with Redemption Earned and A24 Films to present a free screening of "Sing Sing," a film that tells the powerful true story of inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility participating in a groundbreaking rehabilitation theater program.
The film has received widespread attention for its poignant exploration of redemption and transformation within the criminal justice system.
The event kicks off with a panel discussion featuring USA Trustee Honorable Mike Windom, Retired Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb and Mobile resident and criminal justice advocate Champ Napier.
