Verizon and United Way are hosting the third in a series of Disaster Resilience Workshops on August 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This free, public event is to help individuals and families be better prepared for emergencies, especially when it comes to being financially protected and properly insured before a disaster strikes. We will also cover other key tips for staying prepared and keeping your household safe. Registration is required. The first 75 individuals to register will receive a free disaster kit and be entered to win a generator that can be incredibly useful during times of disaster. Must be present to win.
