ABOUT POP’S MIDTOWN

Pop’s Midtown is a locally owned, highly seasonal retail business where the store changes throughout the year—from Mardi Gras to the garden center, pumpkin patch and fall events, Christmas and more. We’re currently gearing up for a busy fall season and looking for dependable, energetic people who enjoy customers, teamwork and a fast-moving workday.

THE ROLE

We’re hiring Seasonal Sales Associates who are friendly, hardworking, reliable and willing to jump in wherever needed. This is not a job where you stand behind a register all day. One hour you may be helping a customer, the next stocking merchandise, unloading a delivery, straightening a display or working outside in the garden center.

The right person notices what needs to be done, stays productive without constant direction and helps create the welcoming, fun experience our customers expect from Pop’s.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Greet customers warmly and help them find products and seasonal items.
• Operate our POS system and handle sales transactions accurately.
• Learn enough about current merchandise and promotions to make helpful recommendations.
• Stock, price, organize and replenish merchandise.
• Help build, straighten and maintain product displays.
• Assist with receiving, unloading and organizing deliveries.
• Lift, carry and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs., including plants, boxes and seasonal décor.
• Help keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, organized, safe and customer-ready.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Notice what needs attention and jump in to help the team during busy periods.

• Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prior retail or customer service experience is helpful, but reliability, attitude and initiative matter more.
• Weekend availability is required. Availability for extended hours and key peak-season dates is essential.

SCHEDULE & PAY

Full-time or part-time seasonal positions. $15–$17/hour based on experience, availability and demonstrated ability. Seasonal schedules vary with business needs and may include weekends, holidays and extended hours during peak periods.
