Disaster Resilience Forum – Mobile, AL

Monday, November 3, 2025 (8:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CST)

Description

With billion-dollar disasters now a regular occurrence, communities like Mobile, where hurricanes, flooding, and extreme heat are growing threats, face mounting risks to lives, livelihoods, and local economies.

This year’s forum will spotlight findings from Beyond the Payoff, a new report from the U.S. Chamber and Allstate.

The research shows that every $1 not invested in disaster preparedness today can cost communities up to $33 in lost future economic activity. In hurricane-prone areas, resilience funding can help prevent the loss of over 70,000 jobs.

Join us on Monday, November 3 to explore how strategic investments in resilience can protect Mobile’s families, businesses, and infrastructure. We’ll share six key “Levers of Resilience” that local leaders can use to strengthen preparedness: from infrastructure upgrades to community engagement and discuss tangible steps to reduce long-term costs and build a stronger, more stable economy.

This working session will bring together government, business, community and nonprofit leaders committed to advancing resilience in the Gulf Coast region.
